Card Games

2 min read
I kinda want to get a card game made. Thinking about trying to start it up anyway. It is an idea I had a very very long time ago that I never got to finish making because I don't really have the artistic skills to draw everything out. Nor do I have the funds to actually pay for the cards to be made (if I even knew where to go to get em made.) I tested out the game for what I had originally made and what not and it does seem to be a good one if you can figure it all out. I just need more ideas for it then I can currently come up with and better art.

If anyone is willing to help me out in any aspect of this whole thing, that would be awesome. It would be great if I could get it all started since it was one of my original ideas from way way back in the day. I may also try to find a way to make a flash version if I can figure out a way to get flash. I have a book to teach me how to use flash, but no flash. Fun, right? If anyone knows of any free programs I could use, that would be awesome as well.

Anyway, if anyone is actually interested in the game, either wanting more information about it or willing to submit art and want to know what to draw, feel free to contact me and ask about things.

Okay, I have a bit of a challenge for some artists out there, I thought about this while at home alone one night. My house sounds like someone is always trying to take something from it. If you listen, when the AC starts up, it makes some weird noises from the intake vents and this causes it to sound like someone is walking through the house. That is just while the house is quiet though, so it isn't really someone is trying to rob the place, my house is just an insomniac. During the day it spends most of the time watching TV or playing music. It also enjoys a bit of gaming and movie watching. (Yes, all that is important for what the challenge is.)

The thing I want everyone to try to do is, draw your your house as a character. How would they act? What would they do? Are they shy? Active? The only limits you really have are how diverse your home is. 3 people live in my house, so it is not that diverse. But for someone who lives alone, it wouldn't be all that different from themselves except for a few changes. If you have an apartment, just consider your single apartment as a character, then each of your neighbors is another character, if they impact your house at all, draw something in the picture on how. Each house is a character, now let's see what yours is like.

Okay, I kinda wanna make this a fun little contest for people. No prizes or anything right now, but that is because I am having some financial issues. Really, I just want to see what people could make, or want to make, as a class of character for a video game.

The rules here are very simple, draw up a character wearing whatever kind of clothing or armor they would wear. No limits. If you want to put your mage in a knights full body armor set, go for it. Up along the top please put the name of the class. Be creative with the name if you want to, but a simple name will also be required so we actually can gather the idea behind the class just from the name itself. Beside your character, have their base stats listed. Below the stats, list your major attacks (if the names are confusing to people, please try to give a bit of a description of them or draw them out in the extra images). Try to limit the amount of attacks to either 3, 4, or 5. Below that, give a small description of your class and what exactly is required for your class to actually be a class. Along the bottom, do some extra smaller action poses of your character.

This is the layout I will provide, but honestly, you can improvise your own as long as you actually still follow the basic idea.

Note: (Before you read through all of this, understand it is for the people who are actually interested in submitting something.) Your "character" has no name, you are creating a "class" and not a character for any kind of story line. Anything submitted to this "contest" will be copy righted to the original owner only. All names of classes shall not be used by the host of the contest in any way shape or form without the consent of the creator. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the contest or the use of your work within the contest please note me or comment bellow. To submit a post, please comment with a link to your work as well as saying it is an official entry. You can also submit through a note with the subject line "Create your own class" and include everything just like if you had commented. In the event the contest becomes something with prizes, people will be limited to 3 entries per person. No person will be able to win more then 1 prize. If no prizes are ever placed, then everyone is free to submit as many as they wish. How prizes will be won will be determined in the event they are actually put into place.

I actually have nothing against them or anything, but I unwatched all photographers I used to stalk. The reason is because I watched them for pose ideas and clothing ideas. But lately I just can't get myself to pick up a pencil and draw a full drawing anymore. It probably has something to do with a large amount of stress and other issues work puts on me. I don't have an art job, I have a physical labor type of job. My body can only take so much before it starts to reject itself.

Anyway, I don't want any of the photographers to think bad of their work or anything because they lost a follower (as if they actually care. Most [that I have been able to figure out] do not care about followers or whatever). I actually unfollowed them for a specific reason. I have 3062 unviewed pieces of art to be looked through... And that is just at the time of writing. It was about 200 more earlier, I went through a few stacks that were big before doing this. I don't have the time to look at everything, and generally I don't even bother looking at the photographers stuff at all. I just close it out without even glancing it over. I felt that was more insulting then not even having a follower to begin with. Then again, I could be weird.

I currently am in kind of a money bind too. So I am trying to do what I can to make money. I have a computer custom building service that I can offer to everyone. I can ship world wide (though you got to pay for shipping, it is expensive to ship a tower.) If you are local, I can also do a home set up for you. But you got to be within 50 miles of me. Or an hour drive. For pricing, it is $50 and the price of parts. Why do I not have any exact figures? Because I don't pre-make computers, I am not Dell. I am custom building it specifically for you. I order what kind of specs you want me to. I do require you to pay me "up front" sort of. I am broke as I said, I need money, I also am not going to pay a lot of money on a PC to find out later that you don't want it. The good thing is, for people that can't get the total amount needed to build a full computer right at the start, I do take "payment plan" type of things. Basically, you give me what you can at the time, and I order the parts I can (in order of importance for making the build go smoothly.) I will ALWAYS check with you before I buy anything, letting you know the price of the part as well as the price of shipping to me. I do not always order online though, local stores are sometimes cheaper and some things are purchased from there.

I will explain the whole thing in a bit more simplified detail later in another journal. But until then, if you are interested in having a computer built, please feel free to comment or note me. I honestly love working on computers.

Your style.

2 min read
One of the artists I follow recently had something about trying to make their own style. I really wasn't sure how to take that at first. I mean, no two people draw exactly the same. You can't mimic how someone draws perfectly, because you don't have the same strokes, the same detail, or even the same ideas the original had if you are not them. Even if you are it is hard to reproduce something you did once. To artists that can do that, kudos. Anyway, for all the people out there that want their own style, just... Just keep going. You will find it with time. Don't waste time trying to "get out" of something you are in. May as well just throw away the paper and pencils in favor of iron and a hammer. When you have a style of drawing, you want it to evolve. Move from point A to point B. Otherwise, even if you are at point D already, you may end up hurting yourself and moving back to A. Wasting a lot of time and effort you put into getting to where you are now.

Things may not seem to go your way at all from the start. You may be stuck where you are. But even with all that, just keep moving forward and just try not to hit your head on the invisible roof in the sky. For anyone that doesn't play video games that lets you fly, that is a video game reference. Because when you can fly, they need a cap on just how high you can fly before you would be going to far. So there is an invisible "roof" there.

As long as you don't run out of things to try, you will always be able to find some kind of thing to make your style unique. Even if the only difference is how start, sometimes, that makes the biggest changes occur.
